Becky and I were picking out her clothes to wear for the day. And I had to take a video.

Texas snow day!!

Can you believe we got snow!!! I know right it snowed here in TEXAS. So of corse the WHOLE town shut down. Schools closed, the freeways closed, lots of people didn't go to work.....and etc. It was actually hilarious! Check out our snow day pics.

Becky actually escaped outside in her bare feet when Kyla opened the door to go out.

Sadly, we didn't get a picture of Brev in the snow, he wouldn't put his clothes on and ended up staying inside to do this instead....

Kyla gets earrings!

So we have been literally trying for YEARS to get Kyla to stop sucking her thumb! We tried many different ways, trying not to push to hard and make it worse. You would think she would just stop after getting punched in the face on the bus because she was sucking her thumb. Finally, I made a thumb glove for her (she can take it off by herself so it's her choice) and promisied her earrings.

Well she is doing really well!!!!!! FINALLY!!!

After a little while, she got her ears pierced.

She still would LOVE to suck her thumb, but now she has earrings, and can only KEEP them if she doesn't suck her thumb.

Here the kids are just being goofy!

Kyla's Dinner

Kyla wanted to make Sunday dinner tonight, so I thought, well she's gotta learn sometime. She did an excellent job. I watched and helped only to do examples of how to do it. Like I showed her how to use the potato peeler then let her do it.......and so on. I let her use a knife for the first time under supervision and she did well.

She made

Roast, potatoes, carrots, bread (in the bread machine) and jello. I made baked apples as another side dish. It all tasted very yummy.

And Kyla let Brev stir the Jello.

Kyla's Dance Recital

Out of chronological order I know, But Kyla had her dance recital today and she did awesome! We are very proud of her!

It didn't work the first time I tried to put this on, But I gave it one last shot.

Heck it only took a 1/2 hour to load....not to bad eh?
