It's A GIRL

So surprise, no boy for Andrew, he really isn't that disappointed though. WE are having a GIRL! yea! We already have a name for her, one we have actually liked since we got married and for me even before that. Her name will be Rebecca Lynn Eddington, named after a few great people. I can feel her kicking now and she is very active. It was fun to see her on the ultrasound because she was kicking more than either of our other two kids. she was moving around so much I am surprised there isn't more than one, there were so many appendages moving everywhere. (but we are just having one) For a moment we thought we might be having two, because my HCG count was so high. So all is well in Eddington land, Hey Happy New Year!

Boys playing House

Andrew is leaning slightly toward the hopes of this next baby being a boy, so that Breven will grow up to be manly. You know and not grow taking after his sister in barbies, tea, playing house and etc. I had to smile at the thought today because as I was cooking dinner I hear Kyla and Brev in the play room playing house. Kyla's Baby is crying and I hear her explaining to Breven that he/she/it need to be held, rocked, kissed and etc. Then I hear Breven pretending to cry for his baby and smile because I know if Andrew heard this he would begin his correction process immediately. I had to take a peek to see what "baby" Breven had chosen. As I looked into the room Breven holds up what he is rocking. It is a car he is holding, rocking and having it pretend to cry. He then explains "It crashed into a wall, Mommy." I laugh because I can see in my mind exactly how it has been crashed, run over, flipped, stepped on, fallen off great heights, and basically destroyed, (I have seen him do it before). And I suppose boy or girl, if I was his car, I would cry too.

You see Boys can play house too.

UGH pregnancy should be easier!

Well we are about 16 weeks along now, or four months, and I am still not feeling too well. I am still hoping to get back to my starting weight since during my third month I lost a total of 15 lbs. in a little over a week. Morning sickness and me just don't get along. With my weight going up and down i still have about 10 lbs to gain back right now to get to my starting weight. I have a feeling I will still be sick for a while.
But life goes on. Kyla is excited for her first dance recital! I wonder how she will do. She isn't really the type to just dance around if people are watching. But she loves to dance, even in the same room, if people just don't look at her. So we watch from the corner of our eyes. She loves dance and is doing well in school. (in some areas) She really is great at writing and coloring. and she loves the interacting with her friends. Her favorite compliment is when you tell her she is a good big sister and she will be a great big sister to her new baby. She is soooooo excited to have her new playmate! And doesn't seem to mind that it will take a while.
Breven is such a little boy, the difference between the two is amazing. He had a great saying now, "hey,I an idea, howbout maybr we can .............., is that a good idea?" And you have to answer or else he will keep repeating it until you respond.
Andrew's girls are of corse winning. They just won state meet!
sorry long post will write more later

200 lbs of apples

So I know I have told you about my other baby. Well yesterday it was my turn to can with my partner. We ended up with 200 lbs of apples to make into apple sauce. We ended up makeing over 100 jars of apple sauce. We started at 9:00 a.m. and ended about 8:30 p.m. But we got it all done in one day! I wasn't looking forward to setting up and cleaning up more than once. So I was glad that we didn't have to. But now i'm done for a while.

Is it HALLOWEEN yet?

how about now?

That is the question that Kyla is asking every night. Some time ago she heard about Halloween and has been asking for a couple months, I think, if it is Halloween. She has it all planned, She is going to be snow white for Halloween, and Breven is going to be a "scary crow" She has decided who is going to come, like grandma's and grandpa's and Aunt Kate, and Aunt Brie...who gets what bags, what everyone is going to wear ( I think that we are going to have 5 princesses so far) and what houses we are going to and who is going to get the most candy. Every night for the past week she is convinced that because it is dark, it is apparently time to go trick-of-treating. We are having a hard time explaining to her that it isn't for a couple weeks yet.

Breven is quite a hoot. We love playing hide and go seek with him, he is learning to count by having to count with me before we go seek. He is actually counting and finding by himself now, and counts up to I think 15. We like to add a number once he gets good at what he is currently counting to. But the funnest part is where he tries to hide. I am surprised at some of the places he can fit and sometimes i would have a hard time finding him if he didn't giggle so much. Some of the places i have found him are,
On the shelves of the pantry
Under the sinks
in the cupboards
Under a laundry basket
In an empty box
in a drawer
under our end tables
under our chairs
under the beds
in a suite case
in my canning stock pot
But my favorite thing is the toy box Kyla has. it looks like a treasure box for pirates and he hid in there once and closed the lid.

So if anyone one want to come play hide and seek with us come on over, it is our favorite game.

lost camera

Well we (I) lost our camera. I am so sad because we are loosing some candid moments of our kids. They do something funny and I think to myself, Oh i have to go get the camera, but sadly we can't find ours. We have been missing our camera since the girls weekend. So if anybody sees it please holler out and let me know. It is a video/picture camera with the screen that opend up on the side. It also probably has pictures of us inside.

My New Baby!

So those of you who don't know, I have a new baby. Yep that's right but this baby will be different in a lot of ways, it won't keep me up at night, it won't be cranky or fussy, and will probably help my family a ton! I can't wait to see it grow. Andrew and I have wanted this for a while. So what am I talking about, well first of all for those of you in my family (specifically KEN) who jump to conclusions, I am actually talking about a canning co-op. Yes that's right, the new baby I am talking about is my canning co-op group I am organizing with my friend . We think it is great. We have at least 12 women who are going to be in the group. This is how it works...... Once every 6 months me and my partner will go to a wholesale fresh produce place and buy fruit/veggies, then take it all home and can or preserve all of the produce. Then the other ladies will come take their now canned produce home for their food storage. In the months that produce is either not a good price or not in season, we will seal in mylar bags flour, sugar, beans and etc. I am very excited to see my food storage grow and only have to do the actual canning twice a year. So suprise I have a new baby!

Girls Weekend

Andrew's parents were kind enough to let me and my mother, sister, and sister-in-laws all use their condo in Midway UT to have a girls weekend. We had a splended time... just a few pictures to tell you about it. ( the pictures are out of order but i can't fix them so you can see them as they are)

These are all the girls there Me (top) Kristie Mom and Jacque
(bottom) Mindy (Austin's New wife) Shelly and Carissa

While we were their we had a bridal shower for Mindy and all painted our toes the same thanks to Jacque our nail artist

We went to olympic park and saw some ski jumper people doing some very cool tricks into a swimming pool

On Saturday we went hikking and to the lake near by. The lake was fun, a little cold and had lots of ewey goey mud on the bottom. The funniest part was when Kristie and Mom got lost looking for us. They hikked around for at least 45 min looking for us and we ended up just off to their left of the first path that they came down. Unfortunatly they turned right, not left. But we all played in the water and watched the kite borders.

Also on saturday we went hiking. We didn't have a map so we just went to the first trail that we knew was a trail. Well it turned out to be a very steep trail and on some parts we and to use our hands.........

and on some parts we used our bottoms : )
Yes that's me I was the luckey one who fell ( but to be a tattle tale Jacque and Carissa fell also ;)

After the hike my knees hurt so bad I iced them in the nice cold stream. It was fun to have cold water and trees and streams and mountains!

Some times we just sat around and talked or played games and just chilled.
What do you think do i look like my mom?

Back to olympic park, we all got our pictures taken in this cool ski picutre board. Some of them were pretty funny

After olympic park on Friday we had a challenge and went to some stores and dressed up in teams to see who had the best picture, here is our group of girls

We had tons of fun, we also went to see7 brides for 7 brothers in a fantastic theater in the middle of nowhere, missed eating at cheese cake factory ( although i did that later with carissa ) got lost everytime we got in the car, went to a concert in the park, went swimming, and of corse had our crying time together.
We ( i think ) all bonded and just had a great time. Thank you to all who made this work, Husbands, Andrews parents, Babysitters, friends, and family. Thank you to all who came and made this work

Memory Lane

Memory Lane
My friend Chelsie has this posted on her blog. What a fun way to bring back fun memories that you have with friends and family. Hope you will play along!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Olympics

As we all know the olympics are comming up soon So we are watching the olympic trials. Of corse the main thing we watch and have recorded is ......yep gymnastics. Kyla loves to watch with us and usually gets her leo on and does her own gymnastics. it's fun to watch

Here Kyla gives instructons on how to pose

and we can't forget Brev!

And Lastly, Kyla's lesson on growing up

Can U Do This?

I have always been proud and a little awed at the talent Andrew has for gymnastics and coaching. It really is fun to watch him accomplish amazing things with his girls.

It is fun to watch these little girls do cool things, I like this video just because i could never do this.

Birthday Tea party

So for Kyla's real birthday we had a tea party for her with her friends. It was really cute. They all dressed up like princesses. Kyla poored tea (about 2 cm per cup) for everyone and they all had treats. It was fun

Birthdays and Grandparents

While we were not here, we celebrated Kyla's 4th and Breven's 2nd Birthday. Both sets of grandparents were here along with Brie! It was a lot of fun and it looked like christmas. My kids are so spoiled. Mom and Dad Bassett got to spend a week (almost) with us and we loved having them here! We went lots of places, sea world, swimming in a river, River walk, and the temple. I wish they could have stayed, we miss them. Unfortunatly we don't have a lot of pictures :( But we do have some
Kyla loves her tumb way to much!

...and I woke up running

Last night, in the middle of the night, I woke up to find myself running out of my bedroom door. I don't remember getting out of bed, and didn't know why I was running. Until I heard Breven crying. I could tell he was hurt and tried to stop at his door but I was hit from behind by Andrew who was also running. I followed Andrew into Breven's room to find him on the floor crying. It was dark and so I didn't know he had cut his head on something, until I found dried blood on his head this morning. He is fine, and the cut was small. I have no idea how he hurt himself as the bed is only 6 inches off the ground, and all his toys were put away. He doesn't fall off his bed despite the fact that he doesn't have guard rails on the side. I guess it will remain a mystery.
What a weird night.

Flood, paints, coolwhip, and birds

The other day I asked Kyla to go put her shoes in the garage. A couple seconds later Kyla yells I can't mom, there is a river in the garage! I go running out and sure enough, there is a river in our garage. I had put a load of laundry into our washer and left it, as usual. 3 1/2 hours later I find water poring down our driveway. Come to find out, a mouse (yuck! I hate mice) chewed a hole in our draining hose, our pressure hose, and the hose that fills up our washer. It was the pressure hose that caused the flood. It wouldn't stop filling up and kept over flowing. Now our washer was under warranty, but the warranty doesn't cover mice. So we are out of a washer for a week and a half. Andrew has really stepped up and reverted back to his missionary days. He has been washing laundry in out tub for us, and thankfully we have a great friend Janine who lets us use her washer. I never knew I had so much laundry.
Kyla is into painting these days and when ever she gets to pick out a toy, she usually picks out a paint set. She is getting good at staying in the lines.

Breven, my boy, found the cool whip tub, and as you can see....he enjoyed it.

And lastly we have a baby bird's nest above our front door. I thought it was really cute at first, and fun to see the birds building their nest. Now, however, it has baby birds in it and we get dive bombed every time we step out the front door. Also whenever we have visitors, Like i did today for lunch group, they also duck their heads till we open the door then come running in with a bird chasing them. Here are some picture of the little birds, Andrew was the brave one to risk the wrath of the birds to get the pictures

am i dumb?

So I have set up our blog, unfortunately I am not so computer smart. At the time I set up our blog I only knew Ken and Shelly's blog address, so that is the only one i entered. I bet they feel special since they are the only link on our page. Well....now I have tried to set up more links ( so I don't have to keep going to other people's pages to look at my friends/family's blog ) but I can't seem to figure it out. Am I able to squeeze pity from anyone, and maybe you could tell me how to do it ( preferably without to much harassment ) ;). I thank any advice in advance, you would truly be my knights in shinning armor.......well I would at least be grateful.
(Oh and by the way, does anyone else think that making all single "i" or "I" capital is just a pain, I know i am silly but I always forget and have to go back thru my entire letter and fix them all... oh and thank heaven for spell checking)

Crazy mothers day

So we had a crazy weekend. First of all we headed over to Sugarland to visit Andrew's parents for mothers day. On the way there, friday night at about 1:30 - 2:00 a.m., I was passing a mustang in the left side lane, and as i got up to him we saw in our head lights an allegator in the road. This thing was huge!! it's nose was in our lane ( the left side ) and stretched all the way across the right lane with it's tail in the grass off the shoulder of the road. Huge. the mustang hit it head on going about oh..75 mph and jumped the allegator, went airborne, flipped the thing up and into our lane just missing our new van. crazy. Sorry to say we don't know what happened after that, by the time we had room to pull over ( as there was no room on the left shoulder ) we were a couple miles past the scene of the accident.
The next crazy thing is Breven, poor guy, fell into grandma's pool, really scarry for us as he never struggled or anything to get out, just layed there face down in the pool till we got him out.

Also that weekend we went fishing, and took some pictures in a field of yellow flowers. It was a lot of fun.
hope ya'll had a wonderful weekend
Bren

our new car

I was walking through the kitchen the other day and i came upon the cutest thing. Breven was playing in the side walk chalk outside and apparently walked through it then came inside. So i had to take a picture.

so we have a new car. Our old car our white buick regal, was going to die. So we went to buy a new car, and low and behold, we now have a new 2007 dodge grand caravan. It's red. My two favorite features are the fold away seats, and my remote control entry. It is so fun to push a button and have the doors open. here is a picture of our new wheels. Oh and notice my little modle who is showing the car to you. Kyla loves the car to.

Random pictures

Kyla and Breven at the gym

Finally my hair is fixed, my new hair cut.

A few funny things, Breven loves to sing now, and it is quite cute in church. He is also starting to talk using sentinces, and putting words together. You still can't understand half of what he says, but you can figure it out eventually.

Breven will be 2 in a couple months, and is a whopping 17 lbs. if i put a lot of extra clothes on him, he can make the weight requirement for his carseat. haha He is still working on his teeth, he is still missing 6 of the ones he that are normal for this age. Oh well

The other day kyla was missing one of her toys and couldn't find it so she asked me to help. I asked her what toy she wanted, but i had never heard of it and didn't even really know what she was talking about. but she was really distressed, so i walked around the house and asked, is it this? or this? maybe this? picking up each toy i found that she might want. But alas every answer to each question was no, nope, or that's not it silly mommy. "Finally i said honey i can't find your toy, lets look a little later" she is quite upset i can't find her toy when she turns, then picks up and IMMAGIONARY "toy" out of the air and say, Oh here it is mom, i just for got where i put it. Yes i was looking for about a 1/2 hour for kyla's immagionary toy.

Today was the first time Kyla came home from church and started telling us about what went on in detail. It was cute, and she is walking around singing a song from chruch. I just wish i knew what it was. She keeps singing the verse i don't know i guess.
