Bluebonnet pictures

I had a lot of fun doing bluebonnet pictures. But I have to wonder, why are all the pretty flowers right in the middle of patches of "pokies" (as Breven calls them)? So my blog is totally overboard on the flower pics, but hey, It's my blog I can put as many as I want right?

So Saturday March 27th,

We started out leaving the house at 9:00 a.m. and went to the ward Easter Egg hunt.

then we went to a Renaissance Festival at Kyla's school. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00, then

over to drop the kids off at a birthday party, while I sprinted over to a Baby shower also at 2:00. Busy day.

The kids as you can imagine had a blast. They dressed up for the festival to get some extra tickets for the games they had. So Friday night at about 8:00 p.m. we started making costumes. I have to say I was a little impressed that I actually got the costumes ready enough to wear the next day. They got to be in a little parade. SOO much candy! And lots of fun!

The Easter egg hunt was funny because Breven was picking up eggs with Nate his friend, and for a little bit they were more concerned that the other person got enough eggs. Breven would pick up an egg and put it in Nate's basket, then Nate would pick one up for Brev. It was really cute.

Breven waiving to all of his fans. O.K. so I am totally impressed with the shield. And being totally humble about it, I whipped out an amazing shield in 20 min.

So Breven reminds me of Calvin and Hobbs, he always has to make funny faces at the camera, and do funny things.

The coolest date ever.

Yesterday some very nice friends of ours offered to watch our kids so we could go on a date. Since it is spring break, Andrew worked in the day instead of night. We went mountain biking together. It was really really fun. We haven't been on a date in the daytime for a while so it was soo nice to enjoy the warm weather and sun. I am not very good at mountain biking, but Andrew was patient with me and we found some trails to go on. It was so fun! Then we got a free dinner also thanks to our very nice friends. What a fun day!

Poor Little flowers

So we have had a little patch of garden out front along our driveway for a while. But we have never put flowers in it although we have wanted to for almost a year now. We just had a couple rocks, and 3 or 4 bushes. It has been really nice out for a while, so thinking it would stay that way we finally spent a little money and got some flowers and plants to put in our little garden. It looked so nice....that is until it pored rain last night, with it turning in to car denting hail towards morning time. SOOO NOT COOL! Now my poor little flowers we worked ALL day planting, are looking like a lawn mower ran over them. What did survive may not last as it is going to freeze tonight.

ugh :(

a Breven funny

As we were driving Kyla to gymnastics the other day, Breven had fallen asleep. About half way there he woke up crying,

"Breven, what's wrong" I say

"SOMEONE bit my tounge!"

"Someone did? are you sure you didn't bite it?" I couldn't help but chuckle.

"No I didn't, somebody else did!" Breven says as he sobbs.

"Wow" Kyla chimes in from the back seat, "that's quite a problem."

Not so cool with school

Kyla has been loving school lately,

yet just this last friday she decided school was too dangerous for her. I can see why she says this, because in the last few months I have had about 8 calls from the nurses office. And notes home from the teacher reporting yet another bruise.

Twice she has been kicked in the head as she bent down to get a ball on the playground. One kid in her class bit her, a week or so later he stepped on her during nap time causing his knee to land on her wrist and his body to fall on her head as she was sitting up. Her head smashed into the floor and gave her a goose egg on her cheek bone. ( did I tell you he is overweight?) The same day ( this last Friday) she had been knocked down in the playground and already had a bruise on her cheek next to the goose egg. And the list could go on. She gets so many bumps and bruises from school.

She had come home that day with a black eye, a goose bump on her cheek, a bruise right next to it, and a sore wrist. Her teacher walks her up to me and says "I swear we don't beat your daughter, although she does look like she had been tortured " I LOVE her teacher she is really cool!

Hopefully spring break will give her a chance to recover.

Well it has been a long time since we have written any thing on our blog. So I thought I would just post some random pictures for now.

So now we have bikes, and we love them. Especially family bike rides
